Frequently asked questions

Helpful answers, without the runaround.

Do I need an account to use Bloom?

No. Bloom does not require a user account. Your entries are stored on your device.

Where is my information stored?

Bloom stores the information you enter locally on your device. The developer does not receive your glucose readings, meal notes, pregnancy information, photos, or journal entries.

How does Apple Health work with Bloom?

On supported iPhones, you can choose to give Bloom read-only access to step-count and blood-glucose samples. Bloom does not write to Apple Health. You can change access at any time in iOS Settings or the Health app.

Why did a reminder not appear?

Confirm that notifications are allowed for Bloom in iOS Settings, check the reminder time inside Bloom, and make sure Focus or Do Not Disturb is not silencing the alert. Bloom schedules reminders locally on your phone.

How do I share my readings with my clinician?

Open Weekly Report in Bloom, review the summary, and choose the PDF export option. Your phone's share sheet lets you decide where to send or save the report.

Can Bloom recover my backup password?

No. Bloom does not store your backup password. Keep it somewhere secure because an encrypted backup cannot be restored without it.

How do I remove my information?

Delete individual entries, use Bloom's reset option, or delete the app. Files you previously exported must be removed separately from wherever you saved them.

Is Bloom medical advice?

No. Bloom is an educational wellness and self-tracking companion. Your healthcare provider's instructions always come first.
